The Iron Shop by M. Cohen and Sons is seeking a creative and self-motivated individual to join our Sales Team! The Inside Sales Representative / Designer services our customers from the design to fulfillment phase of the Spiral Staircase sales process. The Inside Sales Representative / Designer works with customers and internal departments through the fabrication, shipping, and installation of the order. We aim to provide first-class customer service throughout the sales and design process. We help the customer learn about our product to help them select the best stair for their purpose.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Qualify and generate leads via phone and email
  • Manages the entire life cycle of the sale and sales process
  • Work with potential customers via phone, in-person consultations, virtual communication, or other means to guide, assist, and provide general customer service through the spiral staircase building process with a mastery of the product, process, and materials
  • Participate actively in team environment requires involvement in raising issues and collaborating on solutions; Suggest strategies for more effective sales closing, share with team
  • Present and promote products/services to new and existing customers
  • Close sales by means of excellent customer service and salesmanship; Maintain positive business and customer relationships to prolong lifetime value
  • Follow existing orders from sale through production and fulfillment to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Prioritize and/or escalate client questions and concerns to increase client satisfaction
  • Source and develop client referrals
  • Track personal appointments, status reports, and sales
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales goals set by the executive team and sales management
  • Identify revenue opportunities within customers' communities through communications, programs and other activities as needed.
  • Ensure identification, planning, account qualification and needs analysis at all levels.
  • Telephone prospective clients to identify appropriate contacts, qualify and drive leads through the sales pipeline.
  • Work closely with Support, Account Management and Marketing/Business Development
  • Responds to requests from customers for information and gives presentations.
  • Engages in technical discussions with potential clients through demonstrations and presentations.
  • Remains knowledgeable and up-to-date on changes and developments in the industry.
  • Keeps management informed of all activity, including timely preparation of reports.
  • Other Responsibilities as assigned by management

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Qualifications include:

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Aptitude for listening to potential and existing customers
  • CRM experience required, experience with Salesforce CRM is a plus
  • Inside Sales and Customer Service experience required
  • Experience with Construction and/or Architectural Products preferred
  • Basic familiarity with construction drawings, schematics, and blueprints preferred
  • Basic familiarity with tools, instruments, means and methods involved in home improvement projects is preferred
  • Highly motivated, determined, personable, and target driven
  • Ability to meet and exceed monthly sales quota
  • Ability to create and deliver client quotes and follow-up
  • Expertise in time management and personal organization
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, relevant inside sales experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree

Position type/ expected hours of work

This is a full-time position. Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Some overtime may be required per business demands.

Compensation Information

The Inside Sales Representative position's is eligible for a competitive base plus commission pay structure with uncapped commission earnings potential.
